Perfil das Demandas das(os) Estudantes Atendidas(os) Pelo Núcleo de Apoio Pedagógico e Psicossocial da Escola de Enfermagem da Universidade Federal da Bahia

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the sociodemographic profile and the initial demands of undergraduate students assisted by the Pedagogical and Psychosocial Support Center (NAPP) at the School of Nursing of the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), between 2018 and 2023. This documentary research analyzed 94 intake forms, using Atlas.ti software for data categorization. The findings revealed that most of the students assisted were cisgender women, Black, single, aged between 21 and 25, originally from Salvador and the interior of Bahia, and concentrated in the early semesters of the course. The most frequent initial demands were in the field of Psychology, followed by Pedagogy and Social Work. The analysis of the co-occurrence between sociodemographic profile and demands shows that Black, low-income students from the interior accounted for the largest number of cases, especially regarding psychological and social dimensions. The results reinforce the importance of institutional policies of support and of multiprofessional centers such as NAPP, which act in an integrated manner to promote student retention and well-being in higher education.
