Abstract: Childbirth care practices in Brazil are diverse and often marked by interventions that influence and shape the experiences of pregnant women. However, in Peri-Hospital Birth Centers (CPNp), childbirth tends to respect both the physiological process and women’s autonomy. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze whether women's experiences and the care practices provided during labor and birth in a CPNp are in compliance with national and international guidelines. A mixed-methods approach was adopted, specifically a convergent parallel design, using secondary data extracted from the database of the study "Being Born in Birth Centers in Brazil", at the local level. Data collection took place in a CPNp located in the city of Salvador, Bahia, from May to September 2023. For qualitative analysis, Thematic Content Analysis as proposed by Bardin was employed. Quantitative data were analyzed using a framework of variables that presented care practices across the different stages of labor, based on recommended guidelines, along with descriptive statistics. The results revealed a high degree of alignment, indicating that both the women's reported experiences and the care practices at the CPNp were consistent with established guidelines. Of the 173 women who participated in the study, 94 shared their experiences; 87.9% of them were Black, aged between 20 and 34 years, and had no comorbidities. From the qualitative data, the following category emerged: Women's experiences during labor in a Peri-Hospital Birth Center in relation to the care received. All participants were admitted during the active phase of labor; 93.6% did not undergo amniotomy, 92.5% did not receive oxytocin, 99.4% did not undergo episiotomy, and skin-toskin contact was performed in 95.4% of newborns. It is concluded that the care practices in the Peri-Hospital Birth Center (CPNp) occurred with a frequency exceeding 80%, in accordance with the recommended guidelines, aligning with the women's reports, who perceived the care as attentive and described their experiences as positive.

Abstract: This is an explanatory study with a qualitative and documentary approach. Its general objective
was to construct a theoretical matrix on errors in the work process of nursing technicians
working in hospital settings. To achieve this, the study adopted the constructivist strand of
Grounded Theory as its methodological framework and historical-dialectical materialism as its
theoretical foundation. The corpus of analysis consisted of ethical-disciplinary proceedings
(PEDs) processed by the Regional Nursing Councils of the states of Bahia (COREN-BA),
Alagoas (COREN-AL), Sergipe (COREN-SE), and Rio Grande do Norte (COREN-RN). These
proceedings served as the data source and were composed of legal documents structured with
information about the studied phenomenon — errors in the work of nursing technicians —
including the chronology, the context in which the error occurred, and the behavior and
discourse of the actors involved (the worker responsible for the error, the victim or patient or
family member who suffered the harm, the defense or prosecution witnesses, and the judges
represented by the Regional Nursing Councils). Three PEDs were selected based on the study’s
inclusion criteria. From these PEDs, 936 pages were extracted for coding, generating 721
preliminary codes. These were later regrouped into 453 codes and, after constant comparative
analysis and the process of theoretical saturation, 240 preliminary codes gave theoretical
meaning and properties to 12 subcategories, 4 categories, and one central category. The central
phenomenon identified was: “Left to one’s own fate,” labeled as an in-vivo code, which
highlighted that the interaction of elements related to work precariousness — such as lack of
organization in the work process, organizational negligence, and fear-based management — are
determining factors in the occurrence of errors by nursing technicians in hospital settings. The
theoretical model makes it possible to demonstrate that errors in the work of nursing technicians
result from the interaction of elements of work precariousness — disorganization of work
processes, organizational negligence, and fear-based management. Thus, within the hospital
environment, both workers and patients/users remain at risk of errors, in a continuous and
dynamic movement where chance or luck plays a substantial role in protecting against care-
related errors.

Abstract: The Pró-Ensino na Saúde program aimed to improve and stimulate teacher education in postgraduate programs (GP). The general objective of this thesis was to analyze the teacher education by the competence provided by the Pró-Ensino na Saúde to the stricto sensu graduate in the Health Sciences area. The specifcs objectives: to characterize the GP participants of the Pró-Ensino na Saúde, as to the areas of concentration, lines of research and the curriculum proposal for the development of didactic-pedagogical competence; to investigate the scientific production of dissertations and theses from the Pró-Ensino na Saúde program from the perspective of didactic-pedagogical competence; and to examine the perception of the scholarship alumni about teacher training by the didactic-pedagogical competence promoted by the Pró-Ensino na Saúde program. The theoretical framework was based on the discussion about competences of teachers according to Perrenoud (2000) and Masetto (2012). Exploratory, descriptive, analytical, mixed approach and case study research. The sample consisted of 80 graduating students, their 25 respective GP and 72 course completion works from the 19 projects approved by the Pró-Ensino na Saúde. Data were collected through documents and questionnaire, and analyzed by descriptive statistics and lexical analysis, from the perspective of content analysis, with the support of SPSS and Iramuteq software. The results were presented in the format of scientific articles. The first article showed that the majority of GP (56%) has a concentration area with themes related to clinical, pathological, dental and pharmacological research. 13 didactic-pedagogical research lines were located. When analyzing the curriculum components, it was noticed a reduced number of compulsory subjects and most of the optional type, is entitled “Teaching Internship”. The second article evidenced the predominance of dissertations and theses with qualitative approach in the curriculum theme and teaching-learning process in undergraduate Health, as well as diverse and non-priority themes according to the objectives of Pró-Ensino na Saúde. The dissertations and theses that opted for the theme teacher education focused on technological competence. The third article showed that 76.3% of the research participants were women from the bachelor of Nursing degree, with a master's degree and between 31 and 40 years old. 76.3% perceived positively the didactic-pedagogical training provided by the Pró-Ensino na Saúde. The average of positive perception among the 26 teaching competences acquired during the postgraduate course was higher than 76%. This acquisition was mainly extra-curricular, such as participation in events and congress on the subject of teacher education. The competences related to the planning, management and evaluation of teaching-learning activities presented greater negativity of the answers. It is concluded that the Pró-Ensino na Saúde stimulated the teacher formation, but there was little adhesion of the GP in continuing the formative processes and curricular components for the development of the didactic-pedagogical competence.

Abstract: Technology in health is a product created with the objective of transforming, improving and bringing solutions to real problems of daily health care. It arises from the experiential need, from the scarcity in the literature of something scientific that supports care, constituting itself as something innovative, dynamic, applicable and replicable to the environment to which it is proposed, legitimized by a methodology that validates it. To construct and validate a nursing care protocol for people with neurological dysfunction of the lower urinary tract living with human T lymphotropic virus type 1: in light of the Self-Care Theory. To conduct a systematic review of the literature on conservative care and treatment actions for people with urinary incontinence living with human T-lymphotropic virus type 1; To know the self-care actions and self-care deficit developed by these people and to relate the Systems Theory with nursing actions. Methodological study, using the Praxic Model for the Development of Technologies that consists of 4 phases: Pragmatic, in which a systematic review of the literature was carried out that followed the Cochrane Library methodology and qualitative field research with people with the virus and complaints of neurological dysfunction, in this stage the data collection took place through focus group and individual interview. The data were imported into the WebQDA software for content organization and exploration and submitted to thematic content analysis. In the Artistic Productive phase, the protocol was built, based on the data collected in the pragmatic phase. In the Experimental phase of the method, the protocol underwent content validation, in the first round evaluated by 12 expert judges and in the second, by 08 judges who were part of the first. The entire process was conducted from the perspective of Self-Care Theory, Self-Care Deficit and Systems Theory. In the pragmatic phase, five articles were selected from the systematic review and in the interviews and focus groups were selected reports of self-care experiences, self-care deficit and levels of dependence. In the artistic production phase, the Clinical Protocol for neurological dysfunction of the lower urinary tract in people with human T-cell lymphotropic virus was developed, divided into three blocks: 1: nursing actions in primary health care; 2: care actions in clean intermittent bladder catheterization and 3: nursing actions in secondary health care. The technology was validated, in the first round, by 12 expert evaluators with a content validity index of 0.87 and an interclass correlation coefficient of 0.88 (95% CI: 0.76 – 0.96; p<0.001). After suggested modifications and adaptations for the second round, 8 judges evaluated and increased the score to 0.91 and the ICC to 0.90 (95% CI: 0.76-0.98; p<0.001), demonstrating strong agreement between the evaluations globally. The objectives were achieved, and the results published. The protocol establishes guidelines to guide clinical practice based on the scientific literature. It is an efficient and qualified instrument for the professional's decision-making; defines limits of action; reduces variability in care; risks of misconduct; promoting safety for professionals and users of the Unified Health System. It promotes an expansion in the area of activity of nurses in pelvic dysfunctions; It directs care actions in primary and secondary health units and consolidates it in the scientific literature, as an unprecedented material to be consulted scientifically and in clinical practice by health professionals. It presented limitations for not implementing the last phase of the model, the Revolutionary, as a final part of the methodology.
