Abstract: From colonial enslavement to processes analogous to modern slavery, the experience of the black
body - especially that of black women - is still marked by systematic oppression that places this
population on a constant path of exploitation and violation. In contrast to what is preached by
hegemonic feminism, in which gender is seen as a central determinant in understanding the
oppression experienced by women, the intersectional discussion calls us to think about how black
women experience inequalities imposed in the most diverse areas in which a racist, sexist and
classist society presents itself. Thus, the literature points out that the dimensions of race and
gender, among other categories, are determining factors in the way black women experience a
reality in which racism leads to situations of violence, evidenced by constant and growing
victimization data. The objective of this study is to investigate the phenomenon of domestic
violence through the eyes of black women who live with this reality. It is based on the
understanding that race and gender are not combined oppressions, but rather intertwined
categories that inseparably shape their experiences. Through semi-structured interviews, reports
were collected from eight women monitored by the Albertina Vasconcelos Reference Center
(CRAV) in Vitória da Conquista, Bahia. Orality made it possible to identify how the racial
perspective appears in these women's experiences with domestic violence - in family,
affective-sexual relationships and in coping strategies. It was also observed that the very state
mechanisms created to protect them often fail in their function, operating as “war machines” of
the State. In view of this, even with legislative, epistemological and social advances, there are
endless challenges to be faced, mainly in the institutional field, which is still a product of what
has been socially established over the years.

Abstract: Public and private contexts are experienced in processes of socialization and identity construction. Particularly during the transition to youth, recognition, support, and protection are common and desired axes. When one of the processes is linked to gender identity and a formative life project, the inclusion and integration of diversity and identity expressions can be associated with socio-educational spaces. The coming out of the closet of trans youth to the stage (public sphere), via the living room (domestic-family sphere), is not an easy "performance." It is complex and accumulated in many layers of fear and insecurity, reflecting a prejudiced and violent society. In social contexts, it is important to consider the potential of certain spaces as fertile and conducive to a critical approach to identity issues, capable of fostering dialogue and providing a more respectful and tolerant coexistence among the diverse expressions of gender identities and sexualities (Butler, 2021). The social role of these spaces must be collaborative, being of fundamental importance for the promotion of equality and the adoption of effective measures capable of guaranteeing well-being, integrity and dignity in institutional settings, strengthening access to social justice and citizenship (Campos; Cavalcanti, 2020). The objective of this work is to present the importance of education in combating prejudice and violence against dissident bodies, based on the narratives of members of a socio-educational project and high school, both linked to the public sphere, in Salvador. As a partial result, the main concepts, attitudes, and reflections absorbed and narrated by trans youth throughout their life stories and relational contexts were listed. We also sought to understand how youth identity construction occurs (Abramovay; Castro, 2015) within the context of gender and sexual diversity. A qualitative approach was used, based on the life stories of self-identified trans youth aged eighteen and older. The methodology is framed within an interdisciplinary framework with a feminist-queer bias, utilizing qualitative recruitment and outreach procedures with young people involved in educational experiences (whether public schools or socio-educational programs), residing and enrolled in the Salvador Metropolitan Region for the year 2024. The instruments listed are: a field diary and a questionnaire through a digital platform (systematized and objective questions). Finally, interviews based on topical life stories on the axes of identity, alterities, and recognition, drawn from the broader sample, including only self-declared trans and transvestite individuals. The results of the analysis point to the relevance of active listening, representation, and the collective construction of policies and practices that recognize young people as subjects of rights and agents of social transformation.

Abstract: This dissertation aims to provide a feminist and decolonial perspective on the topic of
feminicide against transgender and trans women, analyzing the disputes surrounding the
concept of "being a woman" in the application of feminicide to cases of homicide
against them. The study seeks to dismantle hegemonic knowledge and understanding by
employing feminist epistemology and critical feminist discourse analysis. The
methodological approach is based on Queer Theory, Transfeminism, and other feminist
theories that study the postmodern subject and use gender and sexuality as analytical
categories. The research examines feminist theories on gender-based violence, discusses
biocapitalism and its relation to the cisgender sex-gender system, examines legislative
advancements and judicial decisions related to the rights of the LGBTI+ community,
and the judicial recognition of trans identities and bodies. The results highlight that,
concerning transgender and trans women, judicial arguments generally acknowledge
their gender identity; however, they fail to deconstruct hegemonic binary parameters,
resulting in injustices. Judicial discourses still rely on the biologizing idea of sex and
reflect the transphobia present in cisgender individuals within the judicial system, when
they should recognize the complexity of gender identities and not reinforce
discriminatory stereotypes that perpetuate discrimination and violence against trans
people. The research identifies gaps in the analysis of the daily experiences of
transgender women and trans women in situations of prostitution and domestic
violence, as well as a lack of intersectional approach in legal discourses regarding the
race and ethnicity of the victims. Finally, the study draws attention to the need for more
sensitivity on the part of the judiciary and the integration of a gender perspective to
deconstruct binary discourses and denaturalize sex, which is crucial to combatting
gender-based violence and ensuring the safety and dignity of all individuals, regardless
of their gender identity, race/ethnicity.

Abstract: This dissertation analyzes the implementation of the Social Assistance Policy with Indigenous peoples in São Gabriel da Cachoeira (AM), grounded in my experience as a Social Worker at the municipality’s CRAS. Anchored in decoloniality and the community feminisms of Abya Yala and Pindorama, I seek to understand how the coloniality of power, knowledge, and being permeates policy implementation and produces absences, silencing, and tensions in the relationship between the State and Indigenous peoples. Methodologically, the study is based on field diaries, lived experiences, and the critical reconstruction of my professional trajectory; in this process, I develop a critique of the field material I produced, acknowledging my own colonial position as a producer of knowledge. Initially, I present the decolonial theoretical framework and the contributions of racialized feminist authors who destabilize hegemonic narratives on development, care, and social protection. I then discuss the entanglements among capitalism, racism, and Social Assistance in Abya Yala, highlighting the limits of a policy shaped by a colonial-capitalist rationality in responding to the demands of Indigenous peoples. Finally, I analyze scenes from my daily work at the CRAS in São Gabriel da Cachoeira, evidencing challenges such as the fragility of the local social assistance network and linguistic and cultural barriers, while also identifying fissures and possibilities emerging in listening practices, intercultural negotiation, and critique of universalizing approaches. The study offers pathways for a counter-hegemonic professional practice committed to alternative epistemologies and to strengthening Indigenous participation within Social Assistance policies.
