Título: Gestão de dados científicos nas Bibliotecas das Universidades Federais do Nordeste Brasileiro: análise à luz da Ciência Aberta Autor(es): Santos, Uillis de Assis Primeiro Orientador: Rodrigues, Kátia de Oliveira Abstract: The dynamics of the data-centric scientific context, which began in the 20th century, fostered new perspectives for the scientific ecosystem, with the recognition of data as input for research feedback in science. Faced with this new configuration, demands emerged for the sharing of datasets and the creation of Data Management Plans as requirements from scientific Journals and research funding agencies. From this perspective, university libraries, as knowledge mediators, began to play a crucial the role in formulating services and products for the research data management within Higher education Institutions. It is within this context of significant changes in scientific production and communication that the present research sought to investigate the landscape of promoting services and products for research data management evident in the library systems of federal universities in Brazilian Northeast. The General Objective proposed: to diagnose how library systems of federal universities in the Brazilian Northeast are promoting or preparing to promote the research data management from their institutions. To achieve this, the following specific objectives were chosen: a) to map, from the scientific literature, which services and products exits for research data management; b) to investigate the website of libraries of foreign higher education institutions for the existence of services and products aimed at research data management, contributing complementary information for the preparation of the diagnosis; c) to identify the stage of services and products for research data management in the library systems of universities in the Brazilian Northeast. The methodology is descriptive with a qualitative and quantitative approach, and in terms of technical procedures it is classified as a literature review, documentary research, and survey. The sample consisted of fourteen library systems of federal universities in Brazilian Northeast, with a questionnaire applied to the directors and coordinators of these library systems. The research revealed a low offer of services and products for research data management, high percentage absence of planning for the investigated library systems to offer currently unavailable services and products in the future, and a lack of knowledge among some coordinators and directors of library systems regarding research data management. The current scenario highlights the need to adopt guidelines and practices aligned with the principles of Open Science focused on research data management. An action plan was drawn up to reorganize the interface, update the system, and optimize the environment's architecture. The result was the update of Dspace version 3.2 to 5.7, the creation of new tutorials, customization of deposit forms, correction of metadata, provision of documents in open access, formulation of FAQs, and training. This initiative contributed to improving the quality of the RI's scientific communication and dissemination services and making it an inspiration for other repositories to apply the tools and models used. Título: Representação descritiva de conteúdos digitais: reflexões sobre a catalogação das lives do Projeto Registros de Informação (SIBI/UFBA) Autor(es): Guimarães, Fernanda Xavier; Quaresma, Jamilli Cristina da Silva; Lins, Ivana Aparecida Borges Abstract: The descriptive representation of the digital content of the lives of the Projeto Registros de Information from the UFBA Library System (SIBI/UFBA) is the topic covered in this article, the result of concerns and discussions about how university libraries in the UFBA can make lives produced in the Covid-19 context accessible for later recovery, dissemination, preservation and memory. In this sense, we sought to reflect on the need for professional skills and abilities on descriptive representation of content produced in the digital environment. The research revealed that the Code of Anglo-American Cataloging (AACR2) has been adapted to meet this reality, although, Resource Description and Access (RDA) is the cataloging standard designed for the digital environment. The results demonstrated the relevance (of what?) when defining a specific standard for cataloging lives, aiming to promote access, dissemination, use and preservation of knowledge produced online through AACR2, as well as the need for professional qualification to use the new standard adopted for cataloging resources of this nature, such as the cataloging code GDR.
