A influência religiosa em escolas públicas conveniadas com instituições religiosas em Salvador

Abstract

This monographic work discusses the religious influence in public schools agreements with religious institutions in Salvador, aiming to identify and to analyze how this influence is expressed in a Municipal Education Center Children (CMEI), from the city of Salvador (BA), in partnership with an institution confessional. This is a single case study with a qualitative approach, under the ethnomethodological perspective. For the collection of data relevant to reflection undertaken in this study, in a period of four weeks, were non-participant observation techniques were used focused on the pedagogical routine of a group 5 class; observation of the physical space, with records photographic; analysis of school documentation and directive interviews with the principal of the school and responsible for agreements of the Municipal Department of Education. O theoretical framework addressed the historical context regarding the relationship between religion and education from colonial Brazil to the present day, the legal bases that support religious education in official curricula, as well as the contributions of previous research on the theme of religion in the school environment. At conclusions of this work point to the presence of religious influence, permeating by proselytism, in the researched school context.
